Wrinkle Relaxers

At LumiLife, we believe that effective skincare is an intentional act of wellness. Our approach focuses entirely on subtle, refined outcomes that restore your skin’s natural radiance and smoothness while fully preserving your unique identity.

Botox® / Dysport®/ Xeomin®/ Daxxify® / Letybo®

Fine lines and expression lines are a natural part of facial movement, but some patients prefer a softer, more rested look while still maintaining their natural expressions. Wrinkle relaxers are injectable treatments that can temporarily reduce the appearance of dynamic lines caused by repeated facial movements, such as frowning, squinting, smiling, or raising the eyebrows.

At LumiLife Aesthetic + Wellness, wrinkle relaxer treatments are performed with a thoughtful, medically guided approach. As a physician-led practice, our goal is not to change your face, but to help you look refreshed, balanced, and natural. Each treatment plan is personalized based on your anatomy, facial movement, aesthetic goals, medical history, and comfort level.

What Are Wrinkle Relaxers?

Wrinkle relaxers are injectable neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. By reducing repeated muscle contraction in carefully selected areas, these treatments can soften the appearance of movement-related lines and help prevent those lines from becoming more noticeable over time.

Common wrinkle relaxer options may include:
Botox® / Dysport®/ Xeomin®/ Daxxify®/ Letybo®.

While these products work in similar ways, they are not identical. Differences may include formulation, onset, dosing, diffusion, duration, and how a patient personally responds to treatment. During your consultation, your provider will discuss which option may be most appropriate for your goals.  Results vary from patient to patient. Most wrinkle relaxer treatments are temporary and typically require maintenance if you wish to preserve the result.

Concerns Wrinkle Relaxers May Help Address

Wrinkle relaxers may be used to soften the appearance of:

  • Forehead lines
  • Frown lines, also called “11s” between the brows
  • Crow’s feet around the eyes
  • Bunny lines on the nose
  • Fine lines around the mouth
  • Gummy smile appearance
  • Chin dimpling
  • Jawline fullness related to masseter muscle activity
  • Neck bands in appropriate candidates
  • Excessive sweating in certain areas, when clinically appropriate
Some uses may be considered off-label depending on the product and treatment area. Your provider will review this with you before treatment so you understand the expected benefits, limitations, and risks.

Benefits of Wrinkle Relaxer Treatments

Wrinkle relaxers may offer several benefits for the right candidate, including:

  • A softer, more refreshed appearance
  • Temporary reduction in dynamic expression lines
  • Quick in-office treatment
  • Minimal interruption to most daily routines
  • A customized approach based on facial anatomy
  • Natural-looking results when performed conservatively
  • Option for maintenance treatments over time

The best results come from careful dosing, proper placement, and realistic expectations. At LumiLife Aesthetics + Wellnesss, treatment is designed to enhance your features without creating an overly frozen or unnatural look.

Treatment Areas

Forehead Lines

Horizontal forehead lines can appear from repeatedly raising the eyebrows. Wrinkle relaxers may help soften these lines while preserving appropriate facial movement.

Frown Lines

Frown lines, often called “11s,” form between the eyebrows from repeated contraction of the muscles used to frown or concentrate. Treatment may help create a smoother, more relaxed appearance in this area.

Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are the fine lines that appear around the outer corners of the eyes when smiling or squinting. Wrinkle relaxers may soften these lines while maintaining a natural smile.

Brow Balance

In select patients, strategic placement of wrinkle relaxers may help create a subtle improvement in brow position or overall eye-area balance. Results depend on individual anatomy and muscle activity.

Bunny Lines

Bunny lines are small lines that appear on the sides of the nose when scrunching or smiling. Targeted treatment may help reduce their appearance.

Gummy Smile

For some patients, a gummy smile may be related to overactivity of the muscles that elevate the upper lip. Wrinkle relaxers may help reduce excessive upper lip elevation in appropriate candidates.

Dimpled Chin

A dimpled or “orange peel” texture of the chin can occur from muscle contraction. Wrinkle relaxers may help smooth the appearance of the chin when this concern is muscle-related.

Masseter / Jawline

The masseter muscles can contribute to jaw tension, clenching, or a wider lower-face appearance in some patients. Treatment may help soften the look of the jawline over time in appropriate candidates. This treatment should be evaluated carefully based on your goals, bite, facial structure, and medical history.

Lip Lines / Lip Flip

Wrinkle relaxers may be used around the mouth to soften certain movement-related lip lines. A lip flip may also be considered for patients who want a subtle enhancement of the upper lip without adding volume. This is not the same as lip filler.

Neck Bands

In select patients, wrinkle relaxers may help soften visible vertical neck bands caused by platysma muscle activity. This treatment is best suited for specific anatomy and should not be viewed as a replacement for surgical lifting or skin-tightening procedures.

Excessive Sweating

Neuromodulators may be used to reduce excessive sweating in certain areas by temporarily blocking signals involved in sweat production. A consultation is needed to determine whether this treatment is appropriate for your symptoms and treatment goals.

What to Expect

Your appointment begins with a consultation and facial assessment. Your provider will review your goals, medical history, medications, prior aesthetic treatments, and any contraindications. If wrinkle relaxers are appropriate, a customized treatment plan will be created.

Treatment is typically quick and involves a series of small injections into targeted muscles. Most patients return to normal daily activities shortly after treatment, although specific aftercare instructions will be provided.

Results are not immediate. Depending on the product used and the area treated, changes may begin to appear within a few days, with full results often developing over one to two weeks. Duration varies by patient, product, dose, treatment area, metabolism, and muscle strength.

Who May Be a Good Candidate?

You may be a good candidate for wrinkle relaxers if you are an adult seeking improvement in dynamic facial lines and want a temporary, non-surgical treatment option. Good candidates are generally healthy, have realistic expectations, and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.

Wrinkle relaxers may not be appropriate for everyone. Patients with certain neuromuscular conditions, allergies to product ingredients, active infection at the injection site, or specific medical concerns may not be candidates. Your provider will review this with you during your consultation.
